Well, hopefully. I finally finished and handed in all my papers for the semester. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Tomorrow morning I have my last class and then I’m going to happy hour with my fellow exhausted, burnt out social work students.
Unfortunately, my cold has transformed itself into some kind of chest and throat hurting thing. Hmph.
So I’m going to tell you, today was actually kind of a crap day. I’m feeling under the weather and I’m cranky. And then I had to bring Milton to be put down. He was slowly going downhill and it was time. I pretty much cried the entire time and still get teary when I think of him, but it was the best thing I could do for him. Milton, you will be missed!
With strange timing, I also adopted a 3 week baby hamster from one of my classmates. Her hamster accidently got knocked up and had a litter of four. Let me tell ya, I’ve never had a baby hamster before and this little one is SO CUTE! I can’t even believe what a roly poly ball of fur she is. No name yet, but it needs to be gender neutral, unlike poor Cole, who is now Cole Porter, instead of Colette. I’m going to try to get some video of her running in her aquarium tonight. She’s going to be full grown fast so I need to enjoy her babyness now. Eeek!
But even with my new hammies, I still wish I had Milton…
On some fun notes, here’s some photos.
Cheery redness on our front door!
Me being Frenchie.
The lovely fork wreath at cafe Fork, old city.
My breakfast at Fork.
My new favorite scarf, tassel love! My mom’s from the eighties.
The super beautiful pastry that my supervisor brought me and the other intern as a surprise! It was delicious and walnut-ey.
Well, I’m off to go rest my throat, have a good night all.

Well, kinda. I’d been planning to have my Etsy shop banner/avatar personalized by a designer but after fooling around with Photoshop for awhile (for some reason I can’t resize canvases in Illustrator), I was able to create my own banner! I’m not overly thrilled with it but I’m pretty psyched that I DIY-ed it and will keep working on it. The reason I might not have saved $15 is because I still might pay for one in the future. But for now I can buy myself 3 burritos, assuming each costs exactly $5.
