I sorta did a few retreats from the world this week. Work has been very busy as I’m wrapping up everything and by the time I get home, I’m ready to zonk out. Last night I hid from everyone and watched “Peggy Sue got Married” in bed with Twizzlers. But I have had a bit of crafting success, though I haven’t posted anything new in the shop. I finally photographed my comic strip purse.

Ta Da.
Hopefully this weekend I can paint the little underwear dolls I’ve been stuffing on the T and maybe some more muslin pins. I only did one comic this week, which I like but haven’t erased and photographed yet. But I did finally take photos of my “dainties plate”.

It makes me happy to see it on the kitchen table.
And OH! I finally figured out how to file share and check out the Mother’s Day card I put up for everyone that says, “Happy Mama’s Day, thanks for growing me near your uterus”. My mom is going to get the original hand drawn card, of course. Please feel free to print it out and use it for your mama. I also have the image that I plan to make into stickers soon for the upcoming Design Hive but am still working on that. Having my usual technical difficulties. But hey, my skills have come a long way! I just improve them slowly. Very slowly.
This morning I’m shipping out an order to Ms. Dorothy, whose etsy purchase made me laugh. Thank you! It’s also the first weekend of Cambridge Open Studios and I was going to try to convince my friends Matt and Jen to accompany me.
In other news, I’ve been keeping up with my cooking and fresh food buying. Yesterday I made a spinach and tomato soup but I ate it all before I thought of a photo. Here’s my favorite dish though…

Add a little salt, some pepper, turn up the heat and you’ve got a simple cooked cat delight. I always like to joke that my turtle’s heater isn’t so much to keep him warm, it’s because I’m planning to turn it up really high and add vegetables. Kidding, of course. Oh, random Milton cuteness,

And hmmm. I think that’s everything I have to report right now. Further updates to come this weekend!
